Weekend Recap

I had to call Garmin customer service the other day. My Garmin wouldn't turn on! I was totally impressed that I didn't have to wait forever to talk to someone. The customer service rep asked a few questions then had me push a series of buttons and voila, my Garmin turned on! I really appreciated the great customer service. It is nice to know they back up their product!

I had a great run on Saturday, 11 miles. I ran my favorite route. I love running hills and my calves felt great the entire run. I left early, before little runner girl woke up (I don't like saying "no" when she asks if she can come). It was a beautiful sunny morning!
After my run we headed over to the farmer's market and a walk on the beach. I love island living!

I had a nice 6 mile run this morning. I ran on a road I haven't run on before. It was part of the old highway, so there is no traffic. The road was covered in moss and the trees that lined the road made it nice and shady. I turned off my ipod just to hear the sounds...frogs, birds, roosters. I came home and worked my legs, chest, triceps and abs. It was a great, productive morning. Hope you all have a great week!

Hi Stacey,

I tried using your profile e-mail link to send you the running mom's survey but it bounced on me. Could you send me a note to tallgirlrunning@gmail.com so I can get it to you?

Thanks!

Welcome to Hawaii!! :) Wow... Looks like you've got a lot of marathons on your plate in the upcoming months... How cool to run a marathon on each island this year, eh? I'm considering that Kauai marathon in sept... We'll see if I qualify for ironman or not... That'll make my decision for me. ;)
Anyway, looking forward to reading more of your adventures!

It's good to know that Garmin has such great customer service. One of these days, I'm going to get one!

Your old highway run sounds nice. I can only imagine how beautiful and peaceful that must have been.

A road with no traffic sounds phenomenal! Combined with the scenery of where you are, it must've been heavenly.

I loathe hills but I love a good run! I also enjoy my Garmin a lot (maybe too much?) :)

Sounds fabulous!

And yes, Garmin is great. My dog ate (for real) my Garmin and they replaced it. Mind you, I have an 'in' or two with knowing people that work there-but they were awesome!

My run sat was a rainy one and I turned the ipod off so that I could listen to the rain and my feet splashing in the puddles. Love it.

Sounds like some amazing places to run. I usually dodge minivans and hop over road kill. :o)

I love my new Asics, too.

My Garmin did that once. I think I pushed mode and power and enter at the same time?

When I watch Lost, I think of you since it's filmed in Hawaii. And I'm always jealous!

I wish you could join me for my 20-miler, too!
