The views were fantastic! You can see the ocean almost the entire way. The road is really narrow in some areas, with no shoulder to speak of, so it was a little scary at times, but sooo worth it! Absolutely gorgeous! On one side I could see the ocean...
At the 4 mile mark I realized I left my car keys in my friend's car...important factor, since we were running to my car at Hanalei Pier. Luckily, another friend lives right in Hanalei, so she drove us back. We only went 7 miles (key mishap) and I needed to go 11. So after I took my car home I headed back out for 4 more miles. It was a fabulous morning and I am so lucky to live here! Hope you all have a great week! Aloha!

wow, paradise is right! Nice!
Wow, I'm so jealous!!
As for the training program I'm following...I hired a running coach so he pretty much tells me when to run and I listen!!
That looks amazing!
Wow I feel like if I had that environment to run in I'd never stop. Totally gorgeous.
I've never been to Hawaii but I've always wanted to go. Have you always lived in Hawaii? How's the humidity there?
And what??? You mentioned something about being jealous about me road trippin?? Your pictures are beautiful, but I totally understand how you feel. My mom lived in Hawaii for 5 years and I've had several friends live there who went a little stir crazy at times. My mom always said it was like being on vacation every day.
Amazing! I must go there someday!!
SPOILED!! Oh how I would love to run with the view of the ocean...only on vacations..
I am super jealous! At least our winter is over so the weather is pleasant - if not tropical!
I am SO jealous that you get to enjoy those views on your runs. Incredible!
new to your blog...what a paradise!! Although can you tell o live with a 2.5 year old when, at first glance, i thought I recognized the map as the "Island of Sodor" (thomas the tank engine?) haha ! Happy Running!
Heather!
I'm SOOO jealous. That run sounds amazing.
So. Stinkin'. Jealous.
You really are blessed to live there and to be a runner. EVERYONE there should run!
Now that makes me VERY jealous!
Oh man, you are one lucky lady. What awesome fews! I did the Honolulu Marathon on the big island a few years back and it was the most beautiful course of any race I've done.
Doing the Stockholm marathon this weekend - not paradise like Kauai but probably not as hot! What time are you going to do all these marathons in?
