Update

I know, my last few posts have had nothing to do with running. So, to catch you up...last Saturday I ran 15 miles, should have been 17, but I was DONE! I walked in the door, announced to my husband I was finished with running altogether, and started crying. I had convinced myself I was not going to run the marathon in September, and had a huge pity party for myself, and I haven't run once this week. Just haven't wanted to!

They posted pictures of the medals on the Kauai Marathon website...

This is the front

This is the back

Ooooh, how I love running "Bling!" I am actually excited about hitting the pavement again. I have only taken a few days off so, I am not worried about the training. I WILL be running the marathon on September 6th. Isn't it all about the medal anyway?! ( :

I just hope and pray it will be a cool and rainy race day. The course is on the south shore, which is hotter and dryer than here on the north shore...keep your fingers crossed.

Aw, sometimes we just need a good cry. I'm glad you're ready to get back out there, though. And that is a medal worth running for!

Some days you just need a good dramatic fit to set things back right. :o)

Good luck in September. You're going to do great!

Running in Hawaii? How bad can it be? You sound very happy that you madethe decision to run this one. Good for you. ;)

For whatever reason your post made me smile tonight. I guess I forget that everyone feels that way sometimes.

Yes, I'd run for that "bling," too! I still hope to get to Hawaii for a marathon some day. I think after the December one, I'm going to take a year or two off, though.

I'm glad you are feeling better about running. It sounds like you've built a great base for September. I'm interested to hear more about the treatment your RN friend gave you!
