Motivation ~ Found

I have had a fantastic week! I feel GREAT!

Over the past several weeks, or months, rather, I have been struggling with my motivation. Not only in my running, but with life in general. I can't blame this lack of motivation on one particular reason, just a combination of things, I guess. I will spare you the details. This week I found my motivation... So,what is it that motivates me?

***New music on my ipod...right now, it is Lady Gaga. Needless to say, she is a "fascinating" woman. But every song has a great beat, I have been running faster. I have actually been getting up at the butt-crack of dawn to go running! OUTSIDE! I know, shocker, huh? Winter running for me is usually on a treadmill, but since I live in the desert, why not go out, it's a balmy 37 in the mornings...BTW, I don't know how you Canadians get out there and run in the cold everyday!

***The scale going down...I have lost a few pounds this week. Yay me! I have been eating better, which is making me feel better. I have cut bread out of my diet and I am eating more fruits and veggies. Common sense stuff, really.

***You, my Bloggy friends...reading your posts is motivating for me, I may not always leave a comment, but please know that you are all an inspiration to me! Thanks!

AND...is a Disco Stick really what I think it is??? ( ;

Losing pounds is SO motivating and maybe eating so well is helping you feel GREAT too! I've been working on that since Friday(I know, baby steps)and it's so hard! That's my goal for the week; eat clean and drink a lot of water.

No shame in listening to Lady Gaga. She's on my iPod too.

I konw the lack of motivation feeling all too well. Burnout rears it's ugly head every now and then in life. I'm happy you see to have been able to beat the beast down.

My "following" list of blogs keeps on growing...but I really didn't need another one from someone from a warm climate to remind me that Minnesota winters are miserable and cold. For the record, I don't go outside and run in the winter...it's all treadmill. But that provides a great time to really focus on form and specific workouts.

Love your blog!
