6 Days!

Can I just say how much I love the St. George Marathon! I am flying out on Wednesday night and I am soooooo excited!

This is the Veyo hill at mile 7 of the marathon. It really is incredible to see all those runners on the road.

I love this part of the course, the sun hits those mountains in Snow Canyon just right.

I am feeling really positive about this upcoming race. Apparently there is a 7% rule. Runners from Hawaii run 7% faster when they travel to the mainland. I like that rule!

Many of you asked how I carried the honey with me on my run. I put about a tablespoon of honey in a sandwich baggie, tied a knot in the end and when I needed it, bit it open and sucked it out. Simple. I must say, the honey goes down much easier than Gu. And I don't feel icky. Used it again this morning on my 8 mile run. Again with great results! AND it's cheaper than buying the little packets! ( :

good luck. I am soooooo jealous. I really love the St George marathon as well. I am going to have to try my hardest to get in next year, and then make the effort to fly out for it.

Seems odd for someone from Hawaii to fly (here) for a marathon. I hope it's everything you hope for. ;)

After seeing the pics I am jealous - what a beautiful course! I am going to try to honey thing. I have used GU for my last two marathons and somehow now they are hard to choke down.

It looks amazing. You're going to have such a great time.

I also have seen honey in little straw like tubes...that might be good for you to find and carry.

Oooh! I like that idea with the honey! Good luck in St. George, looking forward to the race report and to hear if that 7% is true :)

Wow, it's almost here! This definitely sounds like a great marathon.

Here's hoping you can prove the 7% rule true. :)

Good luck! The course is very beautiful; I tried to sign up for that marathon, but it had already closed. Look forward to your race report.
I love honey, I might give your idea a try!

I am so excited for you. Can't wait for the race report! Maybe next year we'll both be running it (fingers crossed)!

Love the honey idea. I told my hubby to grab some honey packets anytime he eats somewhere that has them. Going to try it on my next long(ish) run.
