back! My lower back went out again yesterday...don't know what I did...just didn't feel right when I started doing squats. I got into see the chiropractor that morning. Why is it that you feel worse AFTER the chiropractor works on you than you did before you saw him?? My back has been so tight and sore. I've been doing the exercises he suggested and the hot/cold treatments. I didn't run my long run this morning, and that just makes me more frustrated! Ugh. I really hate feeling like a gimp!
On a more positive note...my friend
Leslie is training for the
Ironman St. George which is coming up in May. I am so excited for her. She is an incredible athlete, you can check out her blog
here.
Have a great weekend!

I understand the frustration of not running the long run that you have planned. I was supposed to run my first 10 miler today. And guess what? After the 6th mile, I started hobbling and finally had to stop at Mile #8. I am devastated.
Hope it feels better soon! So frustrating. My parents are both avid chiro. patients and they are always saying just what you did, that it takes a few days after going before you feel better.
I know how you feel - I did something to my lower back a couple of years ago and couldn't do anything! Haven't been to a chiro before though... hopefully the exercises will have you back running soon!
Take it easy. Rest up and get your back figured out. It's certainly not fun not being able to run, I totally understand. I've been there for way too long!
Stacey,
OUCH! I've heard great things about chiros, so hopefully you'll be lacing up your shoes and running again soon. Good luck.
Yikes, I hpe your back feels better soon!
Good luck to your friend Leslie!
Hey Thanks for the link Stacey! That was so nice of you!
Hope your back gets feeling better soon, there's nothing worse than being sidelined by an injury when all your head and heart want to do is run.
OW! I know exactly how you feel. Its taken a long time for my back to heal. It still hurts when I sit for a long time. Try to rest and take it slowly. Those muscles take a long time to heal, I guess.
